Cyclist is hurt in roundabout collision
AMBULANCE crews rushed to help an injured male cyclist after he was in collision with a car in Droitwich Spa on Monday.
The incident, which caused traffic tail backs, happened just before 6pm at the traffic island on the A38 in the Copcut area of town.
An ambulance and two rapid response vehicles attended the scene as police cars directed traffic around the incident, which occurred after the cyclist, believed to be in his 30s, was in collision with a grey Renault Vel Satis. The male driver of the car was not injured.
Emergency crews used a spinal board to secure the cyclist before he was taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
